MCD have recently acquired Chet Valley Medical Practice, a large modern detached GP Surgery and Dental Practice in the rural village of Loddon, close to Norwich. The GPs provide primary care and dispensary services to approximately 9,000 patients from the surrounding area and are a training practice for students from University of East Anglia Medical School.

MCD is delighted to have acquired Berrow Health Campus, a modern, multi-purpose community health hub in rural Somerset. The campus is occupied by users providing NHS Primary Care, Mental Health, Dental, Pharmacy and Primary Care Network services to the surrounding region.
MCD has completed a major extension for its Drayton Medical Centre GPs and ahead of programme.
The new extension almost doubles the size of the surgery, adding 560m2 of floor space, as well as significant additional car parking. The multi-million-pound investment delivers extra capacity for the Practice to deliver their contractual services, to an expanding local population and a new long-term lease has been agreed, in parallel. read more…
We’re very pleased that the new Storrington Pharmacy is now fully operational in the dedicated pharmacy unit next to the new Glebe Surgery in Storrington, West Sussex.

The new St Peter’s Health Centre in Brighton has now been completed, and the team from MCD went down to visit the practice in its magnificent new home.
The complex project involved multiple stages to ensure that services remained operational throughout the development phase, with the old surgery remaining operational while phase 1 of the new build was completed, before the surgery moved into phase 1 to allow the old surgery to be demolished and phase 2 to be commenced. The result is a brand new building that is quadruple the size of the old one with space for mental health counsellors from Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, to work alongside the busy surgery. read more…
With a lot of local population growth and a change in requirements for the medical centre since it was first built nearly 35 years ago, it’s time for the medical centre in Drayton to be extended and updated.
Works are well underway on a large extension and refurbishment to the existing medical centre with works due to be completed in summer 2025. When finished, MCD will have doubled the size of the existing surgery. The car park capacity is also being significantly increased. read more…
We have recently agreed to extend the lease of the Mountcastle Surgery, Edinburgh for another 20 years.
As part of the extension, we are undertaking some refurbishment works to ensure that the building remains fit-for-purpose for another 20 years. The refurbishment works include new LED lighting and replacement of existing heating and cooling to reception and waiting areas with a new efficient variable refrigeration flow (VRF) system, repair and cleaning of the roof surfaces and cladding, replacement of carpets with vinyl in all clinical areas, fire safety improvement works to doors as well as general repairs to both the interior and exterior of the building. read more…
Work has now been completed on a full refurbishment of Wilsden Medical Practice near Bradford. The improvements not only create a better environment for staff and patients alike, but the existing building has been adapted to be more sustainable and meet Government requirements for NHS energy efficiency. With a new long term lease in place, the GPs and community alike can be assured of the ongoing GP services in their local area for many years to come.
The MCD team and some of our partners and advisers enjoyed an afternoon out at “Monopoly Lifesized” in London’s West End.
A good afternoon was had by all, but a special mention to the winning team, Becky, Steve, Jen and David C, for building an impressive property empire and for winning on the last roll of the dice.
